CET–2006 is conducted for admission to 2 Year Full Time MBA Course under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, for filling up management quota seats for the Academic Session 2006 – 08 batch.
COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (CET)
• The candidates qualified in OMCA CET-2006 are eligible to pursue their career MBA in different participating institutions / colleges imparting MBA course under Biju Patnaik University of Technology. Rourkela for academic session 2006 – 2008.
• The OMCA CET-2005 is conducted under the monitoring of a Judicial committee (Stage Level Monitoring Committee) appointed by the State Govt., under the direction of the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
ELIGIBILITY
Candidates who have successfully completed their graduation course, or awaiting their result by 30 th Sept, 2006 can also appear in OMCA CET – 2006.
GENERAL INFORMATION
• Brochure and Application forms for OMCA CET-2006 are available in the following Places:
• From all OMCA Member Institutions who have opted for CET. (Cash or Draft).
• Forms will also be available from CET Monitoring Committee Office, 2 nd Floor, State Council for Technical Education & Vocational Training Building , Near Governor House, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar (by Draft only)
• From office of the General Secretary, Orissa Management Colleges Association (Cash or Draft) Completed application forms shall be either deposited in respective colleges or directly sent to the General secretary OMCA, 4 th Floor, Madhukunj, Building, 116, Station Square, BBSR-751001.
• The Cost of the application frm is Rs.500/- in personal (by hand) Rs.550/- by post.
• OMCA CET-2006 examination/text shall be held on 1 st July 2006.
• Publication of result shall be on or before 18 th July 2006.
• OMCA CET-2006 shall be held at the following centers. Address of the venue of examination shall be mentioned on the Admit Card.

• Duly filled in application forms shall be submitted in person or by Speed post, Registered post or by registered courier, to the participating institutes/ colleges or directly to OMCA Office.
• OMCA and the participating institutes / colleges will not accept responsibility for any postal delay or irregularity.
• I. Admit cards will be dispatched to all the students latest by 21 st June by post after due signature and stamp of OMCA. Any missing by post shall not be the responsibility of OMCA.
• Status of admit card can be enquired from respective colleges / institutions.
• Students not receiving the Admit Cards by 25 th of June are requested to contact and collect the duplicate duly authenticated by General Secretary, OMCA from office Madhukunja, 116, Station Squre, Bbubaneswar, Tel: 0674-2534367, Cell: 9861025258.
• The applicant should collect his/her Admit Card (hall ticket) from the institutes / colleges. Without valid admit card no candidate shall be allowed to enter the examination hall.
• The candidate shall submit04 (four) of his/her recent passport size colour photographs, one each affixed to the 3 copies of Admit Card and the other in the application from, without which the form shall be rejected.
Caution : Students are advised not to deposit filled in forms at engineering colleges.
Advisory : (i) Engineering Colleges are requested not to accept the filled up forms
(ii) Guide the students accordingly.
SELECTION AN DADMISTION
The candidate who successfully clears the OMCA CET-2006 is selected to take admission in the institute / college of his/her choice. The candidate shall be called for counseling at the venue to be intimated Latter where he/she shall submit two sets of attested copies of required documents mentioned together with a bank draft of the required amount as per applicable Government guidelines, drawn in favor of OMCA, payable at Bhubaneswar . The original certificates shall be verfied at the institute / college level and also at the University level. The Member Institutions of OMCA should deposit the bank drafts received from each students at OMCA OFFICE on weekly basis along with application forms.
CHOICE OF COLLEGE
Admission of the qualified candidates to the preferred institutes / college shall be subject to the availability of seats in the institute / college.
FEES : Course fee shall be as per Government Norms.
REGISTRATION
All the students shall be allotted University Registration Number by BPUT immediately after admission. No candidate will be allowed to attend class and appear at the University Examination without a valid registration number.
CET-2006 TEXT RULE
• Candidates are to report to the chosen text centre at least 30 minutes before commencement of the test.
• Neither any candidate shall be admitted 30 minutes after the commencement of the test nor any extra time granted for completing the test.
• Candidates must have the following in their possession when reporting to the test cente- Admit Card. Ball Point Pen. Black Pencil, Erasers, Sharpener.
• The Examination hall will be opened 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
• No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after 30 (thirty) minutes of commencement of the test and leave the hall before final bell.
• The candidate will be provided with a sealed Question Booklets and Anser Sheets.
• Please do not open the Question Booklet until announced.
• Please fill up the necessary information in the space provided on the Question Booklet and the Anser Sheet before commencement of the test.
• The candidates are to sign the attendance sheet during the test.
• If you wish to change any answer, erase completely and darken the fresh circle with Black Pencil.
SYLLABUS FOR GET 2006 MANAGEMENT EXAMINATION:
Written test shall be held on Reasoning, Logical deduction, General Knowledge, English & mathematics.
